Controversy over Highgate School’s gender-neutral uniform shows …
July 2, 2017 - School Uniform
In a final fortnight, there has been flourishing critique of Highgate School for introducing a gender-neutral propagandize uniform. It began indirectly with Dr Joanna Williams addressing attendees during this year’s Festival of Education, and it strong as past pupils of a propagandize done their views public.
In a march of her speak during Wellington College, Dr Williams suggested that schools have been “sowing confusion” in children’s minds by over-promoting trans-gender issues while allocating resources to guard transgender policies “out of all proportion” to a series of children who brand as transgender.
At a core of a issue, however, is a incomparable doubt of what we tell children and who is determining a policies that are being implemented in a schools. Not usually on gender issues, though also sex and drugs education, awareness and even a Government’s PREVENT programme.
Transgender preparation is a many accepted and, arguably, a many argumentative of these new initiatives. Earlier this year, Highgate School announced that it was to move in a gender-neutral uniform following identical moves by several eccentric schools and around 80 state schools.
