Bellshill EU Congregational Church is using a School Uniform Bank this summer to assistance those who need it to dress their children for a new term.
The church is operative in partnership with Mossend, Holy Family, St Gerard’s, Noble Primary Sacred Heart and Lawmuir Primaries, as good as Cardinal Newman High School and Bellshill Academy.
Church secretary Elaine Gatenby said: “The thought of a School Uniform Bank was instituted by an e-mail from a PTA during Mossend Primary, and has grown in to a plan that involves roughly all of a schools in a community.
“The aim of a School Uniform Bank is utterly simply to collect and discharge all your uniforms that are still in good condition.
“So if we have any pre-loved or outgrown propagandize or hothouse uniforms, greatfully cruise donating them to a School Uniform Bank, where they will given out giveaway of assign to anyone in a village who needs them.”
Uniforms can be handed into Bellshill Community Foodbank within a church any Tuesday or Thursday from 1pm-3pm adult to a final week in July.
The School Uniform Bank will run in a church hall, on Monday, Aug 1, to Friday, Aug 5, from 10am-3.30pm and Saturday, Aug 6, from 10am-2pm.
